Bambara Ritual Mask
Probably Marka people. Mali and Burkina Faso. West Africa.
Tribal mask with chameleon head dress and metal inlay features. Bambara mask revered as channels to extremely powerful protective spirits [who convey messages, frighten away evil, cure illnesses and encourage fertility. According to Marka people mythology, the antelope taught men how to farm.

Alexander Barabanov – private entrepreneur specializing in FinTech and the conceptual design of Solar Smart Cities for Africa. He is also a traveler and African art collector.
After completing his research at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) at the University of London, Alexander established his business in East Africa. He has traveled extensively for work on various projects, collecting and restoring art objects along the way. He has developed new concepts for digital algorithms for designing Smart Cities, focusing on the design and implementation of innovative BioDiversity solutions. Alexander is the author of the Generation 6+ Solar Smart
City project in Victoria Falls, as well as several other initiatives across Africa.
The Museum of African Art (AmAA) is Alexander’s vision to acquire, restore, and preserve African art, ensuring it remains in Africa.

Collection of Nkisi statuettes and inside view of majical and symbolic art of Nkisi Nklnde practiced by Yombe and Songue tribes were living on the territory of Cabinda of Kongo Bassin. The tribes inheritance known as very artistic and practicing mysticism and enigmatic rituals. One of the distinctive art form tribal spirit produces were Nkisi.
